I just sewed together a small knitted sheep that says "bah" tersely in a deep, monotone voice.
Well, I've got a video, but it's only up on Facebook right now. I should probably put it up on Youtube! I'll link to it the moment I do.
I've been on vacation for the past week, so I've been posting my snaps to tumblr (asterozoa) and trying out new games. Tinkatolli was the cutest, Fleck was promising, Lord of Ultima was blah, KOL is all right, and Missing Ink can't be played on Linux -- none of them have really offered the level of immersion and wonder that Glitch offered. I guess it was a game before its time. :< So I went to my old school playground and hung out there for the afternoon, and it turns out that I just needed to go outside to find some imagination again. Now if only I could somehow smuggle a jungle gym into my apartment back in the city.
It's a kid's game, but it's quickly growing on me. If anyone (or their child) is on Tinkatolli (tinkatolli.me), I'm klorohaoma. :)
How did you guys find it? I realized after an hour or so that it was kind of limited, though I wish I had a kid to craft some of the stuff IRL with.
It is pretty limited, only a few streets to go on and not much to do. Much more of a stress-relieving break for twenty minutes than the five-hour Glitch marathons. Interesting, nonetheless.
